Section B: Isra University Scholarship Program

Isra University encourages academic excellence and rewards high-achieving students by offering merit-based scholarships to help them actualize their dreams and professional aspirations. Scholarships are awarded irrespective of religious, ethnic, racial, gender, or socio-economic background and are guaranteed for the standard duration of the degree.

Types of Scholarships

2. Isra Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate overall high potential in their academic performance and co-curricular activities.

50% Tuition Fee Waiver

3. Isra Academic Honor Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate solid academic merit and competitive entrance exam performance.

25% Tuition Fee Waiver

How are Scholarships Determined?

While high-school grades are a critical baseline, the scholarships awarded by Isra University follow a transparent and structured evaluation process. Key eligibility factors include:

  • Cumulative academic performance in secondary and higher secondary school certificates (Matriculation/O-Level and HSSC/AS-Level equivalents).
  • Overall merit score secured on the official Isra University Admission Test (IUAT).
  • Written synthesis and analytical skills evaluated via the Hybrid Thematic Essay section of the entrance examination.
  • Verified credentials and portfolio certificates representing active initiative and participation in community services, sports, debates, science competitions, or performing arts.

Terms & Conditions

1. Duration and Scope
  • Valid strictly for the standard eight (8) regular semesters of the undergraduate program at the time of admission.
  • Does not apply to summer semesters or winter makeup cycles.
  • The university assumes no responsibility for extending scholarship coverage beyond eight regular semesters.
2. Automatic Renewal and GPA Progression

Scholarships are automatically renewed every semester if the student remains enrolled full-time and maintains the required Semestral GPA matching their award tier:

Scholarship Tier Waiver % Required Semestral GPA
Isra Chancellor’s Merit 100% Waiver 3.90 – 4.00
Isra Vice Chancellor’s Excellence 50% Waiver 3.75 – 3.89
Isra Academic Honor 25% Waiver 3.50 – 3.74
Note: If a student's semestral GPA drops below their current tier's bracket, their scholarship quantum will be dynamically adjusted to the corresponding lower tier for the subsequent semester.
3. Intermediate and A-Level Final Result Prerequisites

Because admissions are offered provisionally based on early/Part-I results, final scholarship awards are contingent upon verified final marks:

Award Tier A-Level Prerequisite HSSC Board Prerequisite Adjustment / Action if not met
Chancellor’s Scholars (100%) No grade lower than 'B' Minimum 85% score Automatically reduced to Excellence Scholarship (50%)
Excellence (50%) & Honor (25%) Average of 'C' (no grade < 'D') Minimum 70% score Scholarship will be withdrawn
4. Gratitude Hours (Campus Service)
Social Responsibility Commitment

Recipients of the Chancellor’s Merit and Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarships are required to contribute Campus Service Hours (Gratitude Hours) voluntarily to academic departments, libraries, or administrative wings. Tasks are customized to the student's skills and will not exceed 5 hours per week.

5. Interrupted Studies (Interim Withdrawal)

If a student takes an officially approved semester gap or interim withdrawal due to medical/personal emergencies, their scholarship will be placed on hold and carried forward to their next active semester.

6. Code of Conduct

Students must maintain good conduct standing. If a student is found guilty of academic malpractice, plagiarism, damage to campus property, or any code of conduct violation by the Disciplinary Committee, their scholarship will be permanently revoked immediately.

7. Academic Scholarship Probation
Academic Support Period

If a student fails to maintain the required GPA for their tier in any semester, the scholarship is not revoked immediately. The student will be placed on Academic Scholarship Probation for one semester. During this time, they will receive academic coaching, tutoring, and mentorship. If they fail to recover their GPA by the end of the probation semester, the award will be adjusted or revoked.
